Synopsis:

The Operations Controller at Etihad Airport Services Ground, based in the Operations Control Center, serves as the primary contact for flight handling requests including ADHOC and Charter flight operations, coordinates ground handling, maintains communication with stakeholders and offers exceptional customer service. This role comprises managing billing, information exchange, flight monitoring, and resolving billing issues. The Operations Controller also reports safety incidents, tracks hazards. Overall, the role aims to optimize ground handling services, meet customer and organizational expectations, and maintain operational excellence.

Accountabilities:

1. Primary point of contact for ADHOC/Charter flight handling, providing accurate pricing and considering operational constraints and resource availability. Pre-coordinate and plan ground handling services, communicate updates and changes transparently to all stakeholders.
2. Maintain a 24/7 liaison with charterers/agents, responding swiftly to schedule or handling changes.
3. Oversee live handling activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and customer requirements. Liaise with airline representatives, providing exceptional customer service.
4. Ensure that all additional equipment or services requests from airlines are documented and accurately invoiced utilizing the billing system and submit post flight billing reports.
5. Develop and manage professional customer relationships, meeting commercial and operational expectations.
6. Partner with internal & external business stakeholders to ensure Etihad Airport Services Ground teams are aware in a timely manner of any flights schedule change / slot change / terminal move etc. 
7. Maintain records of operational activities, action taken and performance metrics. Prepare reports and analysis on operational performance, identifying key trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
8. Play a pivotal role in identifying and mitigating hazards and risks, escalating them to management when necessary, as part of the commitment to safety and security.
9. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies in all documentation and reporting processes.

Education & Experience:

1. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in aviation management, business, or related field.
2. Extensive experience (minimum of 5-7 years of experience) in aviation operations and ground handling industry.
3. Strong teamwork and communication skills, maintaining professionalism with stakeholders. Exceptional customer service skills and ability to address billing discrepancies.
4. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and compliance.
5. Proficiency in Computer applications, including Microsoft office 365.
6. Adaptability and willingness to work in a dynamic, 24/7 shift-based environment.
