Job Description:
Qualification:
– BS Degree in CS/IT/SE or equivalent from HEC recognized University.
Experience:
– 02 to 03 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
– Linux Proficiency: Competence in Linux installation, configuration, and maintenance is essential for managing Linux-based systems effectively.
– Virtualization Knowledge: Experience with VMware vCenter (or other virtualization platform) design and implementation best practices is highly desirable. Competence in managing day-to-day VMware administration.
– Containerization: Familiarity with containerization technologies, especially Docker, is beneficial. Experience in building and maintaining highly available systems on Kubernetes.
– Monitoring and Alerting: The ability to implement and enhance monitoring and alerting systems.
– Storage Area Networks (SAN) and NAS: Proficiency in administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) connected to VMware environments.
– Problem-Solving: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and propose solutions in advance are important attributes for this role.
– Certification: Holding a Linux or Cloud DevOps certification is preferable and showcases a commitment to professional development.
– Backup Strategies: Understanding data backup and recovery strategies, including regular backups and disaster recovery plans, is important.
– Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure services from providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a valuable skill.
– Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python, for automating routine system tasks is an advantage.
Additional Requirements:
– Cloud DevOps Tools: Experience with various DevOps tools used in cloud environments is preferred.
– Relevant Experience: Previous experience related to the job responsibilities, such as VMware management, Linux administration, containerization, and monitoring, is highly favored.
