Our client, Islamabad based Energy Company in Pakistan seeks to induct qualified and experienced professionals for the position.

Assistant Manager / Senior Officer General Procurement & Admin

Key Accountabilities:
Strategic Contribution:
- Plan the purchase of equipment, services and supplies as per organizational needs
- Responsible for all the general purchasing in PLL, excluding LNG Procurement
- Review, compare and evaluate vendor’s offering
- Ensure lasting and profitable supplier / vendor relations.
Policies and Procedures:
- Monitor and enforce the organization’s procurement policies and procedures in accordance with PPRA rules, where applicable.
Procurement Operation:
- Research and evaluate prospective suppliers.
- Assess requirements of an establishment and develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased.
- Prepare, design and send out the advertisement in print and electronic media.
- Invite tenders, consult with suppliers and review quotations.
- Prepare relevant reports.
- Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts or recommend contract awards.
- Maintain and update supplier information in the database.
- Ensure all company procurement activities are compliant with PPRA rules.
- Timely negotiate contracts at best possible rates, and compare / evaluate offers from suppliers
- Prepare budgets, cost analysis and reports.
- Maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintain and efficiently manage inventories at desired stock levels.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Assist in general admin function, if and when required.
Qualifications:
Minimum: 16 years of Education with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration.
Experience:
Assistant Manager:
Minimum: 7 years of relevant post qualification experience in procurement domain in international, government, semi-government or large commercial organizations of repute.
Senior Officer:
Minimum: 4 years of relevant post qualification experience in procurement domain in international, government, semi-government or large commercial organizations of repute.
Age:Maximum 40 years on closing date of applications.
