Faculty Title:
Assistant Manager GSO
Purpose:
- Technical, administrative and operational management of assigned grids by ensuring compliance of all KE (Technical/HSE) standards, policies and operational procedures.
- Assist in formulating and streamlining the processes. Reviewing, updating and creating of procedures for the grid activities related to supporting departments, participating in formulating the future goals and strategies, intermediation between Grid Stations matter with internal and external stake holders with close co-ordination and follow up.
- Resource and Discrepancy (Technical/Non-Technical) Management.
- Ensure proactive measures for enhancement of existing system, procedures and grid aesthetics.
Education:
BE Electrical/Electronics or equivalent degree from a reputable HEC recognized institute.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge about HV/MV Equipment, Electrical Grids and transmission system.
- Knowledge of KE and regulatory standards/policies.
- Workplace hazards and their mitigation.
- Environment Management System
- Software commands: MS Project, MS office, SAP and Discrepancy Management Portal.
Experience:
1-3 years’ experience with relevant field exposure.

Area of Responsibilities:
1- Monitor HV/MV equipment regularly to assess new/aged equipment lifespan.
2- Analyze supply and demand of grid stations.
3- Prepare internal and external report pertains to ongoing activity.
4- Identify gaps in technical and administrative processes and suggest modifications.
5- Access, analyze and apply proactive measures or timely maintenance as to avoid equipment failure.
Area of Responsibility Continued:
6- Review existing facilities to propose up-gradation and replacement.
7- Analyze HV/MV faults and submission of reports.
8- Analyze feeders tripping and its irregular TFS operation and ratify the faults.
9- Coordinate for all preventive and corrective activities.
10- Manage unpredictable situations such as Corona, Monsoon, Heat wave etc. with resources in hand.
11- Adapt and adhere with all operational SOPs and ensure its implementation down the level.
