Faculty Title:
Assistant Manager Finance Lab – SBS
The incumbent will assist students with computers, databases, and software, helping them understand how to accomplish their tasks. He/She will also be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and quiet work environment.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver training sessions on lab databases/tools and facilitate lab sessions with faculty.
- Report and resolve operational or software problems.
- Control access to the lab, enforce lab rules, and provide software and database support to lab users.
- Keep the lab updated with the latest trends and conduct annual contemporary analyses with other financial labs across the business schools.
- Assist in the maintenance of the financial data library.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- The incumbent should have 16 years of education (bachelor’s or master’s degree) from an HEC-recognized university or institution, with at least three years of experience in the relevant field, preferably in a brokerage house, asset management firm, mutual funds management, etc.
KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES:
- The incumbent should be motivated, serious, and possess good people skills.
- Basic knowledge of the Trade Cast (trading) terminal.
- Understanding of programming languages such as Python, Matlab, Stata, and R.
- Familiarity with Financial Databases such as Refinitiv, Capital IQ, and Bloomberg.
