Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) looking for for ASSISTANT MANAGER (CHARTERING) in Karachi (Dec-2023)

The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation “PNSC” Group of companies, as the National Flag Carrier undertakes global shipping operations. PNSC requires high caliber and result oriented professionals for the positions of:

ASSISTANT MANAGER (CHARTERING):

Assist in pre-fixture activities which include coordination with clients, performing the due-diligence as per company SOP.
Post-fixture related activities, including but not limited to coordination with vessels, Principals and Agents and also liaising with the inter-company departments, Bunkering, Voyage instructions, coordinating with agents / owners for smooth voyage and quick turnaround of vessel.
Handling Demurrage / Dispatch Calculations and preparation of invoices.
Preparing hire statements and settlement of accounts with the Charterers.
Assist & liaise with I&C Department to enable them to notify insurers / P&I club regarding cargo shortage / damages, freight, demurrage related disputes, accident, pollution incidents, threat of arrest and other club covered matters falling under jurisdiction of Chartering department.
Appointment & nomination of load & discharge port agent on voyage charter business.
Check port disbursement accounts and exercise cost control.
Liaise with charterers for smooth execution of Charter Party.

The Candidate should be:

Chief Officer (FG) with sailing experience as Chief Officer.
OR
Bachelors’ Degree in any discipline from HEC recognized institute.
Minimum 03 years of shore experience in commercial division of ship owning company / dry bulk commercial operators / dry bulk management preferably dry bulk or break bulk chartering.
Candidate with MICS diploma shall be preferred.
Maximum age limit = 45 Years

Appointment will be on contract, initially for a period of two years extendable with mutual consent. Selected candidates will be offered market-based remuneration package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
