Selection Criteria:

Qualification:MBA Marketing / Sales / Master’s degree or 16 years education in relevant field.

Experience. Minimum 05 years’ experience in Business Development of Marine and Air Service and Associated Logistics Products.

Job Descriptions:

• As key part of overall Business Development Team, responsible to generate business as per product portfolio and follow target KPIs. 

• Perform purely in a core job role of Business Development to retain and bring new sales for the organization. Sales Targets and other expectations are documented with Directors on yearly/periodic basis on which monthly formal reviews are conducted.

• Maintain direct customer portfolio those are assigned for regular contact as per criteria of all products.

• Focus on maximum output having acceptable profitability with enhanced market reach.

• Contribute through exceptional customer services and attention to customers for retention of existing business and induction of new business portfolio.

• Need to maintain all records of customer’s inquiries on prescribed manner with transparency of business deals.

• Timely manage quotations and provide prompt response to customers in most professional manner.

• Maintain sales pipeline at least 5 times of the Gross Profit Targets in concept of 20% win ratio.

• Follow regular visit plans and provide brief/debrief on daily basis.

• Equip yourself with product knowledge and skillset as per the company’s criteria for any business development person.

• Arrange joint sales calls for product teams and managers as and when required and show full courage to strive for big opportunities.

• Provide complete sales support and customer services in coordination with product team pre and post shipment until completion of each job.

• Actively understand the transactional and contractual business in concept of procuring rates though product team and make alignments with local vendors and global network (where needed).

• Negotiate business terms both internally with product team/sales and externally as bridge to close the deal.

• Maintain the right portfolio of customer base, which include exiting customers, target customers and the list of known potential from market intelligence

• Need to follow good examples of professionalism from start till close of sales deal and need to act under control of standard trading conditions. Company’s brand name shall always be protected and limit yourself on over-commitments with customers in any business deal.

• Overall responsible to have effective sales planning with quality sales activities to generate positive business activities and responsible to record all these activities/events according to departmental structure and reporting mechanism.

• Update and coordinate regularly with operation and procurement team at shipment level to support customers and grow business activities as teamwork.

• Overall maintain and develop good relationship with customers over telephone calls and emails along with regular visit cycle.

• Realization of timely sales within approved credit limits is required to maintain the cash flow; liaison with finance team regularly. 

• Responsible to perform any other task / campaign / assignment / reports which can be assigned by relevant manager related to key functions of this job role.
