Job Description:
Qualification / Experience:–
Essential:
– 16 Years BE/BS in IT / Computer Science or Equivalent from HEC recognized University with 05 years of relevant experience in reputed company/organization.
Desirable:
– Masters and Bachelor’s both in IT / Computers Science or Equivalent from HEC recognized University.
Key Responsibilities:-
– Responsibilities may include a mix of implementing new VMware Cloud setup, creating and contributing patches to the VMware development tree, assisting in resolving problems using VMware, conducting deployments and providing VMware related training and guidance.
– Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
– To give input into the team’s strategic plans for future growth and improvement
– Communication with peers and management. Development and maintenance of Cloud Infrastructure on NUST network.
– Must be able to effectively multi-task; handling the development of multiple features and projects, while maintaining a high level of development coverage.
– Work closely with the business analysts and senior developers to identify business requirements, formulate designs and implement the services.
– Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
– Create Strong Documentation and Standard Operating Procedures.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Competencies:-
– Experience with VMware based Systems Administration
– Strong Concepts and Experience of Virtualization Environments; hypervisors, VMs, shared instance, dedicated instance, VPC, Bare Metal, SAN etc.
– Practical hands on experience of VMware enterprise solutions.
– Practical knowledge of vRealize Operations Manager (vROPs/Log Insight, Life Cycle Manager) , Workspace One administration
Training / Certification:-
– VCP-DCV certification
– vCAP DCV
– MCSA certification
– Veeam
– VMware NSX
– Advance VMware Cloud training

– 3rd Div in academic career.
– NUST employees with less than One year service with NUST and/or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
– In process of pursuing a degree.
– Medically Unfit.
