Job Title:

Agile Delivery Lead– ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) 

Job Purpose:

At Emirates, we believe in connecting the world, to and through, our global hub in Dubai and in constantly innovating to ensure our customers ‘Fly Better”. Our Delivery team is looking to hire an experienced Agile Delivery Lead to support our Information and Communication Technologies space. 

The Agile Delivery Lead (ICT) champions the successful planning, leadership, and organization of multi-disciplinary teams, blending agile and waterfall methodologies to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment and ensure the successful delivery of ICT projects. Acting as both a Scrum Master and a visionary leader, they cultivate high-performance teams, instilling clarity and passion while driving the implementation of technical solutions. Their daily responsibilities encompass guiding teams towards exceptional outcomes, ensuring delivery aligns with business needs, and setting and maintaining quality standards throughout the process. 

In this role, you will:

•    Develop and execute a comprehensive project management plan spanning the entire project lifecycle of ICT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives, and addressing key aspects such as scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, communication, and risk management.
•    Support the Head of ICT in key ceremonies such as PI planning and play a consultative role to help establish the appropriate people, processes, and tools supporting the Delivery framework.
•    Apply traditional project management principles and practices with an Agile approach in suitable proportions to fit teamwork and projects of all sizes. Ensure the right level of planning is in place to provide a balance of agility and predictability.
•    Demonstrate strong Risk and Issue management skills and experience, including the ability to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential challenges, ensuring smooth execution of work.
•    Manage the pre-implementation (ideation, tendering, evaluation, contracting, approval process) and technology implementation phases of a project end-to-end with strong emphasis on dependency management.
•    Collaborate with Technical Specialists and architects to build a plan, define the Definition of Done, and establish milestones to guide the project to completion. Effectively manage and report on the overall status of the solution or project through clear and accurate reporting standards.
•    Drive Quality and ensure adherence to the feature and milestone Definition of Done (DOD). Foster full engagement from each team member and encourage meaningful contributions.
•    Assist in team development by holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work, leveraging cross-functional team skills to improve product backlog throughput, and mentoring and developing team members.
•    Define and manage a well-defined process and lead ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Delivery Management. Implement agile governance with key ceremonies and drive continuous improvement through regular assessments of velocity (team story point throughput, etc.).
•    Assist with cost estimation/sizing exercises for both near-term and future initiatives and help prepare total cost of ownership with the product team. Collaborate with the Product team to support the RFx phases in the procurement process and schedule these activities in relation to the product lifecycle. 

Qualifications & Experience:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

Qualifications:

•    Degree in Computer Science or similar.

Experience: 

•    Minimum 5 years of experience  in Information Technology
•    Certified Scrum master and PMI ACP (additional certifications such as PMI, Prince 2, CSM desirable) with 5+ years of practical application
•    Experience in agile and waterfall delivery 
•    Proven leadership and project delivery experience in Managing IT Infrastructure projects. 

Knowledge/skills:

•    Must be well-versed in the use of tools of Project delivery (MS Office suite, JIRA, Confluence, Planview). Familiarity with Engineering Drawing and Primavera P6 is desired.
•    Ability to effectively communicate specialist information in an understandable format to all stakeholders.
•    SAFe Agile practice 
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to be concise and demonstrates this through their work and project reporting
